Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 901

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Am I really the first one here? What is DIV 901? I was told last night it's flags? I dont understand, is that like flags in H.S.? I dont know why my recruit would be in this DIV? Also what are brother DIV's..So excited to finally have his PIR & am waiting on a phone call home! Proud of you Nicolas, GO NAVY!

My understanding is that 900 divisions are performing recruits.  My daughter (also this division) was told that if she volunteered for choir, band, honor, etc, she would be in this division.

Jade I got a phone call today!!!! How about you?

On the main page of this PIR group under the "Pages", which is under the member icons on the right side of the main page, there is a page called ships/divisions What they are and how they fill them. If you click on that title it will take you to a page about all the divisions. At the bottom of the page there is a link to the 800 and 900 divisions. That page has a little more insight on what goes on with those two divisions.

Here are the links.

900 Divisions

Thank you so much Ellen..He plays drums, so maybe he mentioned that at some point. You volunteers are amazing, knowledge is comfort. Thank you for all the time you put in here.

Thank you veteran Moms for all you do to make this site possible. I've learned a lot more than I knew about what my daughter is going through now and it helps me feel connected.

Thank you, everyone who puts time in to share information with everyone!

I can't even describe how it feels to have some idea of what my kid is doing! I didn't have any idea what she would be doing.

She was a cheerleader in highschool, and did some show choir in middle school.

Thank you! I can't wait to hear her voice... or even a letter!!

Just curious if anyone from this division has made hotel arrangements and will be going to any meet and greets?

Made hotel res today. Staying at Navy Lodge. Going to try to get to Sarge's meet & greet.

I'm happy to be on the site and connecting with other moms.  Does anyone else feel like there's so much to learn?  I was hoping my son would join the band groups.  It sounds like he's in the stick group.  That's cool, too. Looking forward to learning more and making connections with other RDC parents.

YES Pink, everyday I learn something new! I learned the term "grad n go" just yesterday, since my girl will go to Pensacola for A school, we won't have much time with her after graduation :( I didn't know that before..

He's on cymbals!
