OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 801

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

I got a lot of letters!!! He appreciates all I did to have him prepared including the pictures I printed on sticker paper and put in his Bible. Said church was great but made him miss his dad's sermons. Said I was right- he had a lot to learn:). Said to pray pray pray for study skills. ALSO moms - he did send me the new gate password since its a new PIR ( we originally had 11/22). Be sure you write and ask your SR. So happy now! Hope you all get letters.
I got a letter today from my SR. He is doing good. He is making friends. They have a study group! He likes the food, but says the portions are small. He is having fun. I am so HAPPY to hear from him.

They only have 15 minutes to eat. Watch how fast he eats during PIR weekend. Too funny

We got letters from my son today too!  He says he's happy and making friends with everyone. Whew! He said he hasn't received the letters I wrote to him, probably due to the fact the first few went to the "old " address. Hoping he gets letters this weekend. Can't wait till 11/15!!!!

rescueswimmer the letters will follow him.

Got a letter today too!  He sounds good.  Said everything is fine, but then followed up with "sucks, loud, boring....but in all it's just a big change to really adjust to...."

Short letter...he had 4 hours of watch.  But I'm very happy to see his words. :)

Said he hopes other letters arrive soon.

Maybe they will arrive this weekend...I hope so.  He'll feel better once he's bombarded with letters.

Hope everyone has a great evening!  I'm going to read my letter again....for the 10th time. :)

Got a very nice letter from our SR today as well. Said BC wasn't too bad, but he was ready to get the heck out of there and on to Pensacola! :D Getting the letter and confirmation of the PIR date is such a relief. I know I'll be sleeping a little better tonight.

Much better in Pensacola. Beaches, volleyball, and rated the best food of all bases. Very laid back atmosphere

Kitten says Hello

Blessed to have gotten a 30 minute call unexpectedly this morning. A little down and emotional because of things that didn't go so good last week. Asked for prayer this week and especially a test on Tuesday. They also have a lot of inspections this coming week. Going to keep my Navy candle burning and pray a lot. Please pray for all our sailors. Thanks!

I also received a wonderful phone call this morning.  Good to hear his voice.  He is on light duty until he can see the Cardiologist.  Everything is running behind because of the Government shut down.  Hopefully, he will be cleared soon.  Yes, many prayers for all our sailors :))))

lulub - i hope your SR is doing all right with his health.  i'll be praying for him!  i'm glad you got a phone call. i was able to receive one as well.  happy saturday!
