Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 007 and 008

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Oh so glad to hear, I didn't get to talk to J last weekend and no letter as of yet this week, hopefully today!!  Fingers crossed :)

My son sounded great no worries as far as he was concerned

Got our letters today, he sounded a bit better than last week.  He was just worried about the test that they had yesterday, he also added that what seems to be the ongoing statement that they are only allowed 3 guest for PIR.  This has me worried that so many SR's are saying this.

I also just got a phone call, I leaped out of my seat when I saw PAYPHONE, had the scare of my life though when I heard is this Mrs. P----, hello this B. J is sick in his rack but I offered to call and let you know that he is ok but they have him on ??? and can only get up for... I was crying and so thankful for him to take time from his own calls to call me and tell me this.

I just got off the phone with James!!!!!  He sounds so good.  He got his wisdom teeth pulled and was out of commission for a couple of days.  He was laughing and joking.  He said that this will probably be his last call for a month...   : (

Love that kid!  Can't wait to give him a big ol hug!!

Today is a great day!  3 letters in the envelope and a 30 minute phone call!!!!!  He's very homesick, but starting to sound better.  He's going to be going to A school at Great Lakes.  He wants me to stay until Sunday.  He said that the division(008) is down to 75.  He passed his test and is moving on.  He said that there are 2 more tests for him to pass over the next four weeks.  He said that he won't get a phone call during that time.  He says PT is very easy and he started gaining weight, so he started watching how much he is eating.  He says the food is really good.  He's having a hard time being away from home, but he's realizing this is what he needs to do.  He sounded so happy to be able to talk with me.  I'm so glad his brother heard the phone.

So glad they got to call today! And it was a nice long conversation...he told me 3 for PIR, not 4. He said they are 2-5 today, and also said they won't probably call for 4 weeks. Told me when Battlestations is, and that he sleeps on the top bunk. Said they got their dress whites and blues and "a lot of other stuff we have to stencil out info on and fold". He claims to be an excellent folder. He's excited for the upcoming stuff because he really likes hands-on stuff (maybe he is a good folder now!) got to have the call all to myself since I was in the car when he called. He wanted to make sure that I was talking hands-free or had/was pulling over to talk. It is one the things I drilled into his head when he started driving!

Loving the phone call !!!! He actually sounded happy he was stressing the test was glad he passed. He sees the finish line and is focused.  They missed the flag by .1 oh well. He likes  the guys he's with so I guess they are all bonding by now.  Almost there Ladies!!!!

Feeling sad, that I didn't get to talk to my son, I sure hope he is feeling better, tomorrow.  Glad you all got good news, mad I forgot to ask how they did on their test.  Guess I have to wait until next week to get his letter.

Kitten says Hello

Hi, has anyone received a call today?? /:
