Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 007 and 008
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Closer to Guam, not sure if you are familiar with the western pacific islands. About 3 hours away from Japan. We have only 1 type of season and its Summer all year long. I know he is freezing his butt off, but would think he would have adjusted by now.
You and me both, the delay of knowing is killing me, and to add of course his entire family keeps asking how he is doing and all I can say is "no news is good news I guess". Assuming that if something was really wrong he or they would have contacted us by now.
Anyone get letters today? My sons GF got one hoping some more are on the way
I didn't receive a letter from my husband...I'm hoping that one comes tomorrow! It's getting pretty hard not knowing what is going on since I really haven't heard from him in two weeks. The last letter I received was dated 10/06! But...there's always tomorrow!
finally got one short and sweet lol He doesn't provide much info. He has yet to complain so basically I have no clue what's going on other then he's doing good made friends misses TV. There has to be more to it then that haha. I guess he doesn't want me to worry.
That's great! I'm crossing my fingers a letter comes in the mail today! I won't be able to check the mail until I get home later..but since everyone seems to be getting letters I should too! :)
One happy mama right now!! Checked the mail and low and behold a letter from my SR. Wow, 5 letters for us and man what a difference from the previous 2. He seems so happy and much more positive (must be all the motivational quotes I have been sending him lol ) He was so re-leaved that he had passed his test the first time. Was making lots of friends, I guess now the new question of the week is what will happen after graduation. They have been told that those who were going off to FL for their A Schooling are on hold due to the shutdown, So he could have to wait in IL for a few weeks until FL opens up?? Have any other SR's been saying the same thing??
