OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 007 and 008

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hey there Sade didn't see this until now I am from South Shore of LI.  We are getting so close what a cute baby you have there

Thank You ^_^ What div is your SR in? My husband is on Ship 13 div 007

Hi Azerin, I agree Saturdays call did make it a bit easier.  Do you know if their calls will only be coming on Saturdays?  Maybe I will just always put my phone on call forward?

Hi Angie! My son told me he would probably be calling Sat at around the same time. It was 920 AZ time when he called (1120 central), so his Chief probably sets that up. He told me the Chief is a woman, so I'm hoping she understands what Moms go thru!

Next Tuesday we need to see if we can get the trivia question correct that they post on the FB page https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand the winner gets pictures of their division posted.

How long do we have to answer the question?  I am at work and I can't get on FB until my lunch break.

Yes we do. I tried today but no luck getting in fast on posting the answer.

It seems like it's really early their time when it's posted, but I'll have to check. Would love to see a pic of them!

This link takes you to FB, but where is the question posted?  I would love to see a picture of all of them!

When you go onto FB search U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, tomorrow morning around 9:00 am (CA time) they post a question, last week the winner answered the question within 9 minutes.  So we have to be quick on the Google search  :)  The winner get to give them their SR's Division number and they will photograph the division and post.

So that's 11am central time.  That's going to be tough, I have an appointment at 10am.  Not likely I will get to it.  I'll do my best!

Its there it is further down the page, it was a tough one last week

Trivia Tuesday:
Please remember to submit your COMPLETE answer as a reply to this post. Partial answers, and answers sent as a message will not be considered:

A future U.S. President took a cross country journey to see if it was possible to move an entire army across America. What was the name of this expedition? What year did this expedition take place? Where did it begin and where did it end? What was the name of this future president and what was his rank at the time?
