Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 007 and 008

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My eyes are so blurry from reading all that, that was the hardest one yet.

You go ladies!  I wish I could have helped!  At work and not allowed on FB.  On my lunch now.  Will check in later.

I see you posted your son met a friend that Is a gamer my son told me the same thing maybe they are bunk mates my son is going as a corpsman I went to the recruiter with him I wanted him to have a A school after boot camp. But going to the fleet first isn't so bad they get to see what they like to do I was in the navy went in as an airman apprentice spent a year at my duty station and then went to A school for aviation electrician worked out well for me I was more focused on school
Nobody has answered that trivia question. I gave I the old college try ladies, I had 5... I had Coburn, Ziegler, Webster, Brewster and westervelt... Sorry. Maybe next week or I'll try again when I get home. I thought I had one nobody had... His name was Thomas huff... But I had to go

Wow really, I gave up when I saw all of the answers, I guess I should not assume they were correct.

Hello ladies!

My husband is in DIV 007! :) I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hello! I saw that some of your sons from DIV 008 said they would not be calling for another month, do you guys think itll be the same for DIV 007 since they are brother DIVs?

Hello gorillagabs, sounds like silence for a few weeks unless they earn calls

Yikes! This is going to be a tough month!

Since my son arrived at the RTC, I had only one phone call 10 days after her arrived and 1 letter dated 9/29/13. I have not received any calls or letters up to today. Feeling kind of worried since he mentioned in his letter that in his division  a bunch of them do not listen and is worried they might be given IT, which he definitely did not want. I starting to think that he might be having it pretty tough and is stressed since I have not heard from him. Praying a lot for his div and that I will hear from him soon. It has been exactly 4 weeks today since he's been there.

Good morning! I would think that the same phone call policy is in place for div 007. I miss my sons voice, must be awful to not talk to your husband! I'd go CRAZY! Im so thankful I have my two daughters to keep me busy! Hopefully the next month will fly by!
I received a letter yesterday. He said they are still getting screamed at, he sounded down. I was very disappointed, I was expecting to hear that things were better. Apparently a lot of people not listening... Hopefully they'll get it together.

I am hoping for good news in my next letter, I haven't heard from my son since their 1st phone call, last week during calls he was SIQ, so our last update was from 10/6 letter, hoping for a bit more uplifted SR and a letter today.

Hi jrzgirl61, is your SR in div 007?
