Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I GOT A LETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a letter today!! I have read it over and over! My so is in good spirits, but he says it sucks there! Lol! I feel so much better and looking forward to the phone call!! Hoping that you all got letters today also!!!!

We got a letter too!!!!!!! 3 in 1 envelope: dad,mom and sister. He says that has been hard getting use to "military life" but he's happy and proud about his decision to join the navy. The letter was dated Oct. 7 and he was still waiting to receive letters :( But we started sending him letters 10 days ago.

Yeah... that's awesome, I got one on Friday and was dancing around the front yard (I know the neighbor thought I was crazy... don't care!) I was in tears before I hit the front door and I think I have read it 15 times.... He said he's adjusting and his biggest fear came true... While being chewed out and yelled at, he laughed... He is his mother's son... Giggles!
Hope everyone is getting letters and having fun connecting with their Sailor! I know I am!

I recieved my letter on Saturday, I'm so happy you all did too. My son is doing great and has met alot of new friends, that make it easier for him. He also said the food there was really good, but no talking while in the galley. He told his grandma she would be proud of him, that he is eating his veggies once a day and cauliflower is not soo bad, gotta love him. I want to start crying just typing this, glad I heard from him, but it made me miss him even more. I need a hug from him!!
