Yesterday the wind was howling & blowing, then rain, then snow, etc. I was able to watch all of my co-workers get "wind pushed" past my office window. To brighten their day, I have place my collection of Mr./Mrs. Potato Heads in my office window : ) ~ kk

kimbokatbo & DAVIDSmom ~ sure do miss you guys! The cell phone got there timely, but the 22 lb. box that cost a fortune to ship and insure is sitting somewhere until Monday. He is OK with it, as he is keeping busy. Yesterday, during muster, an Officer complemented his boots. This is so funny! So today, he taught a class of 20 other Sailors his technique : ). I received a text tonight: "My boots look like glass!" He is keeping busy with paperwork, finances, pizza, running, marching, pizza, movies, laundry, reading, shopping at the NEX, pizza, etc. On Wednesday he can wear civi clothes...that box should arrive on Monday. He absolutely loves Corry Station, the food, the friends, the compartment ~ all good. Do you remember when were we a mess and did not sleep through the night? ~ kk

The cell was shipped on Monday night...still in transit. The laptop & misc. was shipped on Tuesday night...still floating around. I hope my son gets everything today and tomorrow, as he does not have mail hours on Saturday. Since Priority Mail has a 2-3 day time frame. Today is their LAST day for the cell.

I still do not know when/if my son is coming home for the holiday. I was told he would know for sure this week. We are considering picking him up and flying him back...we will see. ~ kk

Momrat ~ Is your son in stationed at Corry Station?

Not having the cell has not stopped my son from calling. He uses his phone card and the "cool old fashioned phone booth." I shipped his cell, a book, and his science mags this evening. ~ kk
