Well Jacquie we thought it might happen. And even though I haven't gotten a letter saying the same thing, I will not be surprised if it happens because the kids are going the same place. I guess we can be thankful that it is Saturday and not Friday that your sailor leaves. At least you will have Friday after grad and part of Saturday. We might be seeing each other at the airport. And if they do have time on Friday my kids will be going to see New Moon.
On a sad note, talked to my friend who's daughter went through battle stations yesterday and today, 4 recruits did not pass. So either they will repeat battlestations imediately and stand in the gallery during PIR tomorrow or get held back. So Sad.

Yes Jacquie I can do that when I get back from GL. That is a great idea. Good luck all you Mom, GF and gmas of division 1 & 2. We are praying for your sailors success.

Stephanie We will be staying at the Navy Lodge and anchorsmom, I wear red to school every friday and plan on having red on at PIR. Getting so excited. Just drove back from san diego after meeting with another navy mom at a, ok don't laugh, marine graduation meet and greet. It was a blast and so many people. Night ladies.

Anchorsmom yup definately a shorts and flipflop day. We have 90 for a temp. Even my daughter asked us to bring her rainbows so she didn't have to wear socks. Said that she had a permanent lines from sock and sports bra.I just laughted because she does sports all the time bust she said 24/7 was the pits.

Some with me Barbara, west coast girls are used to a lot of sunshine and I don't think we have been below 55 in a long time. I too will be bundled up. And the packing I am doing is for those few things my daughter has requested. :0)

Hello all ~ As a N4M member, please think about what you would like others to read about your SRs. Think about what your SRs have included in their letters to you. Think about the family members of others, including RDCs. Some of you may not like my opinion here, but my entire career has encompassed maintaining, as well as enforcing, the confidentiality of others. With that said, if you have posted comments about SRs being set back, sent home, tragic events that others may not want to read about themselves, or tragedies/conditions relating to mental illness, slamming RDCs (believe me YOU would not want that job!), please consider removing them from this "Comment Wall" or requesting the page creator to do it for you.

Just because your SR sent you information in snail mail, does not mean it should be public knowledge. Please respect the privacy of others.

Happy Veteran's Day
