Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

SailorMom59 thanks for the information about your call.  That is great.  I posted the information on my facebook since his gf got the call and she could not even call to tell me this or anything else... I am happy they got all of the ribbons and your SR was one of them..

Got a call from my SR!  So awesome to hear his voice.  He is doing awesome!  I cant wait to see him.  He said this is the best experiance he has ever had and enjoying every minute.  I am so proud I cant even tell you!  Hugs to everyone

Dillonsmom, dont let your husband get to you.  Your son is probably thinking that he knows he does not have to make you proud of him.  Kids always do that, they try to please the parent that they feel like has the least amount to do with them.  They want to win their love.  He knows you LOVE him.  Be strong.  It really sucks, but hang in there.

Reading all your ladies post about your SR calling their gf makes me grateful that I have a wonderful relationship with my SR gf. He called her today too. She immediately text me about their phone call. And then I saw her in person and we talked about it. I was so happy for her. I was able to hear about him through her. Sorry you ladies don't have great relationships with the gf's.

beckybec - Yes it was really nice before he left, I just do not understand.  But I sent her a couple of texts with no response so I will take my information from here, and be happy.  I can not wait for Nov 21st.. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the Meet and Greet.  Thank you everyone for all of your love and support.

Deb that's all we can do as mothers. I'm on a countdown everyday. So glad we are getting close. Looking forward to the meet and greet and mostly PIR.

Pink I think what you said to Dillonsmom was right on the money.

Debnchris, your son probably is needing affirmation from his girlfriend, he knows your his mom through thick and thin.

Look forward to meeting all of you...

My SR is going to Nuke school after PIR. He told me yesterday that when they return from liberty on PIR day they leave 3 hours later for the airport to ship out to South Carolina.  Just thought I'd pass that on to anyone else with a SR going there.

Your recruit has been misinformed....but in a good way!

Here is what RTC PAO says about Liberty for this PIR:

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command At this time the liberty period for those graduating on Nov. 21 is as follows:

Recruits attending "A" school in Great Lakes will depart on 21 Nov and report to their new command. Following normal check-in procedures, they will be authorized liberty Wednesday, 21 Nov and Thursday, 22 Nov.
Recruits attending "A" school outside of Great Lakes will depart RTC 23 Nov. They will be authorized liberty Wednesday, 21 Nov and Thursday, 22 Nov.

angelfire430 - so your SR is going to leave right after graduation?? No Thanksgiving?? I am sorry if that is true.

Wow, i sure hope that is not the case for any of us........................ Wow, that is about all I can say after reading that.......................

I got a phone call on Sunday from my husband!!!! I was so excited.  And I was spending the day with my beautiful mother-in-law... as a side note I'm really sorry for those of you who don't have a great relationship with the gfs or daughter-in-laws.  I love my mother-in-law and we both have spent the past few years working really hard to make our relationship work.  It's always a hard relationship, but it's such an important one with my husband, her son, gone.  Anyway.  We were both together with my son and his niece, so my husband got to talk to everyone.  It resulted in a whole lot of crying and not a whole lot of information shared because of phone passing, but it made him happy!!!!  Only 15 more days!!!

The count down states 13 days I can not wait. I think my son is going to A in GL so we will stay as long as he can visit
