OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi debnchris! It has been a whirlwind of an experience, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Even though we didn't get to actually 'meet', I'm glad we met here! My son is also in Pensacola, and has already been emailing me. What a great change from bootcamp!!

Hi when did your son leave?

You could rent a car or call Sarge. Sarge has a taxi service and he is a wealth of information and has a Meet and Greet at the Sundance Saloon in Waukegan the night before PIR. His cell number is 847-212-0246. His M&G and services have been getting great reviews.  Sarge can be found on here as OldSarge (clickable link to find out more).  If you rent a car, you will need the password in the form letter to download the vehicle pass from http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp the week before PIR.  I hope that helps.  Take care and blessings to you and yours.

My son landed in chicago at 9:05 and is on his bus trip to RTC, he should be there shortly. No I did not go to MEPS, they really did not know what time it would be and my son did not want to be embarrassed, so I did not go think it was hard on him to
