WELCOME to PIR 11/21/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Excited to hear from my fiancé today, He sounded tired and getting very little sleep due to his responisbilities but he says he's doing well... can't wait to see him!

Tammy - I'm glad you received a letter too. It's such a great feeling to get any news from your SR. He said don't worry about him, he has made many friends. So since they are in the same ship and div they might know each other, which would be great.

That makes me sad. She is 14/14 as well and still nothing. I'm glad y'all got a letter though. Here's hoping I get one soon.

Hi Kryss, so glad you received a letter. Thats great!! My son is also ship 14 div 14. I received my letter yesterday. It really made my day. It can be hard not having any way to speak to our SR's, so a letter sure helps to ease the worry.

I don't post often but I wanted to share that I received my first letter today. (ship 14 div 14) He sound a little homesick but he said that he has made many friends and the food is decent. I hope all you moms, dads, gfs received your letters soon. Wishing you all luck.

Have any moms that have sons/daughters in ship 03/div. 018 received any letters yet? I am still looking in the mail box and nothing yet! :(

So she did send them to her parents. The box and the form letter AND another personal letter. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty torn up about it.
