For the remaining ladies expecting the I'm a Sailor calls tomorrow as they travel.  When you will be in flight with phones off, change your voicemail before departure to greet your new sailors.  Encourage them to leave as many messages as they like so you can hear their sweet voices over and over when you land!

mas:  Thanks so much for the prayers for Brett!  He has a very long road ahead of him (5 weeks Wed in the hospital) but he is making progress and he is alive which was not expected in the first week or so....he is a miracle!

diannep - Thank you for sharing Brett's story. It really touched me and gave me so many things to be thankful for. I will continue to pray for him and his family as he continues to heal. Brett is a true hero and his wife an inspiration.

Good evening ladies!!! So excited, got the call and flying out tomorrow morning. Can't wait to meet you all. Safe trips to all of you! :)

Great pointers, Mike'sMom!   And, yes, it does take the sailors a while to return to you when packing up their racks after PIR.  Ours took about 45 minutes...so patience is the name of the game!

Also, I would like to add:  If you do not need to go into the RTC NEX to pay for pictures, order them, etc....you may want to wait and visit the larger NEX outside of RTC.  It is on Greenbay Rd.....close by.  Won't be as crowded in there!

Congrats to the new sailors!

So 013-016 went last night...that leaves just 3 more to go through!

Those who didn't pass will go again tonight---they'll pass.  So no worries!

I got my sailor call, my son is DIV 013....when we were getting off the phone he said the next divisio was up to call.  I can't wait to see him now at PIR.  Congrats to all the SR's!
