OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thank you diannep, do you know what their roooms are like in A school?

Singin....:  Just sent it.  Don't hit ACCEPT or the info disappears so read that first.  You don't need to accept the friend request unless you need to send me a private message.

gail, she won't have room to take much with her to A School (and you have to meet her at the airport with these items)....just phone, laptop, ipod, maybe a few civilian clothes that she can wear once "phased up" would be enough.  It would be better to mail her more things once she arrives and asks for them.  She will have a big seabag, a garment bag (uniforms), and a backpack to keep track of.  So most likely she will not want  to carry more luggage.

SinginSailorsMom:  Will friend request the BattleStations info to you.

Julia:  Thanks for posting the Thanksgiving dinner option list!

Good Morning All

To the next phase of this experience - what do our sailors need in A school?  Our daughter is a seabea, any idea what a typical room looks like - TV?, Playstation? We are trying to decide what to bring to PIR for her text journey!!! Thanks

NicolesMom>  THAT I don't know, but SARGE may know!  You can text him at 847-212-0246  That is the kind of info he will be giving out at the MeetNGreet but if you want to get reservations somewhere now, I would text him and ask him.  Another suggestion would be to ask your hotel.

diannep,

one more question and I should be totally up to speed:  Can you tell me who (Waukegan) would be serving a great Thanksgiving meal?  thanks

Comment by diannep on November 13, 2012 at 11:19pm

You are very welcome, kawilde.  Glad I could help!  Wish I could meet you all, but we N4Moms veterans have already been through PIR so we won't be there.  But we will be there in spirit!

NicolesMom:  Sorry, I don't know exact dates of final tests but they should be this week.  Prayers for her!
