Pattynfun. Our sons are in the same division. He told me the same yesterday... 12 Days, He had a sinus infection for 6 weeks after they gave him the nasal flu shot then when into double pink eye. I sounded so much better and very excited to Graduate. He is looking for to A school at GL, he is pretty sure that it is 15 weeks, He also stated that they cannot have any civilian clothes yet. They have to go thru phases to change. 12 days cant wait!!! So proud!!! Did you get your son a coin for the preformance division?
diannep, thanks so much for your prompt response...her A-school is only a few weeks. Can you explain "phase up"?
Also, wishing we would have discussed the emergency contact with her...we had a family member pass away last night, we are choosing to not tell her until we get her for Liberty. Very tough to make this decision for her but veteran dad says "no" she needs to stay focused, she is almost done :(
Yep, kvece is correct....no overnight liberty....but hope all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with their new sailors!
Good Morning!
Will she be able to stay with me overnight Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving night, or do they have a curfew.. I'm flying home on Friday
Nicole's Mom, those should be fine as well. She will have to wait until she is checked into GL A-school to take them back with her and she will have to put the clothes away until she phases up but she should be able to take those things back with her.
My daughter has asked me bring her cell phone, ipod, black socks, jeans, sweatshirt....are these things ok? She is going to A school in GL.
collins....: They can't wear civilian clothes until they "phase up" at A School. Some take a few, put them away, and then have them for when they do phase up.
As far as ordering the pictures, they will get a chance to do soon. If she orders PKG A, it comes with the cruise book (The Keel) for free.
I Love Letter's from SR Wednesdays!! We just received chapter 2 to the Navy BC book....and we have a sharp shooting SR!! she missed expert by one point :(. (she drew a diagram of her torso target and where all her rounds hit).
She is back to FFD and passed her 2nd PFA :)
She said HELL week really wasn't a hell week at all...thankfully!
Dress uniforms are back from the tailor and they will be having PI in them this week. Photos are taken, and the other division's RDC let her have her make-up back!!
She said that they haven't ordered anything yet? Just wondering if anyone knows when they typically place their orders for their cruisebook, dvd and photos?
They are starting drill pattern for graduation this week so she is going to draw a diagram of where she is going to be and send it, so we will know where she is during PIR!lol She is being told NO civilian clothes for A-school...is this correct? Oh, and she is requesting real underwear for Liberty.lol
Looks like we can safely make some travel arrangements now...counting down to 112112!
No one understands what you are going through better than other moms who are or have gone through the same thing :) We are here for ya, anytime!!!
You are very welcome, BriansMother!
