WELCOME to PIR 11/21/2012!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Brian'sMother:  Your division will probably be going through BattleStations the week before PIR week.  So have your phone handy afternoons (when the calls come in) that week!

I am sorry that I deleted the info about I'm a Sailor calls. The member that posted was corrrect though in that this group still has at least a week or more before those calls come in.

diannep is the resident expert on this and can give you better info than I can.

Hello...going to briefly address posting links to external social media support groups.

All I am going to do is point you to the Navy For Moms (N4M) Community Guidelines. (That's a clickable link) Please see the section on • Don’t Solicit for Products, Services, etc. It's the seventh item down.

While you're there please go ahead and go over the rest of them if you have not read them yet. There here to help, not hurt. :-)

If you have ANY questions please feel free to message the site administrator. just click her Profile Pic or the link next to "Posted by" under the title of the Forum Discussion.

I have left the original request on the wall but have removed the links. This way you know who to send the links to in a PM.

No worries...just a little business...sorry to intrerupt "the flow".TY!

I heard if you are driving the gate opens at 6:30, but best to take a shuttle it is easier and faster.

Hope that helps

Comment by Nicole's Mom on November 5, 2012 at 11:06pm

I spoke with someone at the Ramada and they told me they board the shuttle at 7:00 am.  I thought I read somewhere that you need to be at the gate by 6:30.  I will feel panicky if we get there late and there is no where to sit.  Can anyone tell me what time we need to be there by?  This is for PIR 11/21.  Thanks

Angelfire- Did he call you?

Comment by angelfire430 on November 5, 2012 at 4:01pm

My SR is going to Nuke school after PIR. He told me yesterday that when they return from liberty on PIR day (Wednesday) they leave 3 hours later for the airport to ship out to South Carolina.  Just thought I'd pass that on to anyone else with a SR going there.
