FTLW...thank you that was hilarious. I'm a tough ole mama, no crying here :) Angry....heck yes!! I am a healthcare professional and working on another degree right now...not a lot of free time to play these military mind games. Take it, send it home, send it back, throw it away!! GRRRR
Thank God this "character building" chapter will be over in 22 days...bless you all for letting me VENT :)
I did take time to go to Brett's Carepage and read his story...what a HERO!! Thanks for all of the updates and informing us all about this, we had not heard anything about this tragic story here in the Midwest.
Also, praying for all of our Navy families on the east coast <3
Maryland survived the storm. Praying that everyone else did as well and praying for Brett and his family. Hugs to everyone.....
good morning everyone, glad to hear brett had a restful night, I am sure he needs a lot of those. Prayers daily for him and his family.
We have missed the snow so far although it is falling pretty much all around us. Lots of school closings in the area. The pics on the news are so scary. I hope everyone in the path is safe and warm.
Good Morning All -
Hope everyone has made through Sandy and are beginning the clean up process. Praying for Brett, our SR's and all of their families.
UPDATE on Brett this morning: Restful night, ventilator gone, trach in--he will be more comfortable, they can now see his handsome face! He responded to commands earlier from nurses, but was "out" this morning when his wife visited. Thanks for continued prayers!
Yes, FTLW. Should have clarified that...took his leg halfway between ankle/knee...which is a PRAISE that they didn't have to take more than that. Prayers that they don't have to go in and take more....and like you are praying, I'm praying for more rapid progress with his recovery now too.
Good Morning Ladies!
diannep - Just read the update. They did not have to take his whole leg. Joy in sorrow! I pray that his healing will progress rapidly now.
Very sad news on Brett today, ladies. They had to amputate his right leg this afternoon. It was his leg...or his life. Just too much infection. Heartbreaking...but we are still trusting in the Lord to heal him....the dr thinks that now he will be able to recover more quickly...he is still on dialysis to kick start his remaining kidney...please pray extra hard for his wife Susan and mom Greta who have been right there with Brett...it is a grieving process for them too....thanks so much for the prayers.
Certifiable...
FTLW you are crazy lol..... it is official lol
