Call tonight from my SR in division 11....So happy that I was able to get his call. It has been over a month since I heard his voice..Hoping for a good night sleep tonight. I hope everyone get more calls and letters.
Have a good night.
My call came tonight from my SR so good to hear his voice!!! We spoke for awhile he sounds good!!! Said has not been able to mail any letters, but will as soon as he can. Also they are coming together as a Div. Thank God for letting me not miss my call!!!
Update on Brett: He is no longer sedated and is starting to respond to those around him. Still on the ventilator so can't talk, but can nod yes and no, grimace in frustration, and tears flow down his cheeks sometimes---he is responding to talk especially from his wife and brother.... More surgery on Monday...he is fighting his restraints (restrained because his stomach incision is still open as is his leg incision--lots of tubes...important to be still). He is still strong and fighting to live. Still critical (11 days now) but making great progress. Thanks for the prayers and please continue!
Came across this picture of Brett (7 yrs old) meeting my sailor son (5 days old) for the first time. They are now 33 and 26! That is Brett's mom and sister with them in the pik. Our families go back to my parents being best friends with Brett's grandparents since they were teens! Still are to this day....
I've only posted here a few times. My life stays so busy that there isn't much time.
My son is on ship 13 div 15. I've gotten 3 letters from him so far, they are coming once a week. He stated that they can write/send and receive mail on Sundays, the exception would be if there were pictures included from home. So of course I include pictures in every letter I send him.
I missed his 3 week call. It took him 4 tries to get ahold of someone, his stepmom. I really hate that I missed that call! I guess I'll have to wait for the I'm a sailor call to speak to him.
I saw a comment on here somewhere that their SR asked for Shampoo and conditioner, if it was a guy then it had to be a joke!
Good Morning !
We don't think so, but at this point, I would call Public Affairs to make sure.... 847-688-2405
