Ladies, please be sure that the names on the form letter are the guests going to PIR.  In today's PIR, they let no extras in.  One lady wrote that in the form letter, her son had put down her, her ex hubby and his 15 yr old brother.  Unfortunately, he apparently thought that his 15 yr old brother didn't need to be on the list (must have thought that those under 15 or 16 don't have to be on the list...it is actually those 12 and under)....so....when revising his list shortly before PIR, he took off his brother's name.  He wasn't allowed in, and his dad stayed behind with him (they returned to their hotel).  So both missed PIR....

Suggestion:  If the names on the form letter you received are correct, write your SR and ask that he/she not make any changes to it before PIR!  This was a very sad story,  and a huge change at RTC.  By the way, she even showed them the original form letter with his name on it, and they said no.  That is because the guest list is totally up to the SR and they have the right to change it before PIR.

Kryss, thats great to hear you received a letter today!! Yea!!  Well I guess they will learn to be quiet or have to pay the piper. My SR also said he had moved from E-1 to E-2. Glad to hear that BC has not been so bad. 25 days left until we get to visit with them. Can't wait!!

That sounds familiar, my daughter had mentioned that there were a lot of talkers in her division in the beginning that didn't know when to keep their mouths shut...lots of extra PT.  Learning the hard way!!  My Army veteran husband says "it will build character"...really, honey, this momma is not convinced.lol

Tammy: I checked my mail today and got a letter :). So far he said BC hasn't been hard.He pasted all his tests and have moved up from E-1 to E-2. He also mentioned that 3/4 of the Div likes to talk so it gets the whole div into trouble. I think he's a little worried about that. But that's about it, he dosen't mention anything else about Div 14. I hope you get good news from your SR. I am praying they all do well.

Kathy many of us go nuts, its so frustrating not hearing. I wish I was better informed that this would be the case before they left. The thing that helps me is reading all the comments from my phone email throughout the day.

Still no letter or call!!! Ship 13 Div. 011! I wishthat I would hear something!

Hi Kryss. Thanks for the response. It sure can be tough waiting for news from our SR's. I think you have the right idea by sticking with the no news is good news. I am just counting down the days until PIR and hoping all is well with all of our SR's. Thanks again. Praying all are doing well.

I would like to recommend Residence Inn...with or without a pet!  We loved our stay there....took the 6:30 PIR shuttle...wonderful.  They serve a hot breakfast, earlier on PIR Day.  Location was good....close to Sarge's MeetandGreet.  Candlewood Suites is right near Residence, but we don't hear much about that hotel so I don't have info on it.

For those not needing pet friendly hotels, both Springhill Suites and Courtyard Inn are good too.  Same area as Residence (all are owned by Marriott)....about 5 miles from RTC...all have the PIR shuttle.  All are close to Sarge's MeetandGreet.  Next to a big Walmart shopping center too...has restaurants, etc there.

Hi Tammy. My SR is in the same Div as yours. I got to talk with him briefly this Tuesday. He mentioned he was doing well and can't wait for graduation and that was about it. It was so quick. Besides the very brief call, I have not heard much on how his Div is doing. I am just going by the no new is good news. I really do hope they are ok and praying for a letter.

Good Morning Ladies!!  I received a short call last Friday, but nothing since.  I was wondering if anyone has heard how ship 14 Div 14 has been doing. My SR mentioned adversity but that is about it regarding his division. Hoping all is well.
