to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I wish I could have met each and everyone of you moms that have made the last 9 weeks so much easier for me. Unfortunately things didnt work out that way but thank you! Since I was unable to meet with my SR on Thanksgiving Day, I donated to the Salavation Army here in his home town in his honor. They needed pies for there Thanksgiving Dinner. So what I would have spent eating out on Thursday, I bought for the homeless here. Safe travels to each and everyone of you.

Hey all! I am here. This evening we drove around looking for the gate we go in for PIR. There are so many gates and it is soooo confusing. We are at Navy Lodge and plan on driving in the morning. What gate/road do I go?? Thanks so much for everything!

So sorry, NavyMom.  Sometimes they will give out info.

For those who didn't hear from your SRs/sailors today after BattleStations, go to PIR on the theory that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!  And....enjoy!

Julia:  The shuttle takes the stress out of arriving there for sure!

I drove up to the Naval Base and it's huge! There was a line waiting to get in and that was just day to day traffic! I planned to drive in the morning but I signed up for the shuttle from the hotel instead. I don't need that stress!

Ladies waiting for calls today:  Some may not be able to make them.  You can try calling Public Affairs and see if they can tell you anything about your SR's status...like....are they sailors!!!.  They close at 4 pm so call soon!  847 688 2405
