OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello, everybody. I have seen comments about proper attire for graduation, so I wanted to ask for my specific situation. I am planning on wearing a sweater dress to PIR. It's form fitting, but not revealing - the neckline is right at the throat pretty much, haha - but it falls a few inches above my knees. I plan to wear some kind of stockings with it too, of course. Does this sound appropriate?

I have received my very first letter today! I am thrilled! All in all he sounded pretty good! Misses his family and dogs! He said the first 45 hours he was awake was hell! And RDC's were yelling a lot! Hoping for everyone else to have good news in your mailboxes this week!

Lala:  You should have seen how some of them dressed at PIR in the dead of WINTER.....!!!  Ridiculous....like they were at the beach and some of the sharks ate part of their jean cutoffs!  :-)

bayoukat:  Very cute pumpkin!

The majority of people will be dressed like business casual, nice pants and shirt or sweater. Some will be very dressed up and other will be in jeans and tees. There is no dress code but you want to look nice with your Sailor in pics and they will be in their finest :-) You should see how some of them were dressed in the summer. It was downright embarrassing lol

Good afternoon ladies, I just have a question regarding graduation.  What is the appropriate attire to wear for graduation?  Hope everyone that was waiting for letters has received one.  Just waiting on the "I'm alive call". Hopefully that will come sometime this week.  That is the coolest idea for a pumpkin bayoukat110. Very neat I love it.

Comment by bayoukat110 on October 16, 2012 at 4:37pm

Thanks! My younger son and I made it over the weekend. I'm copying the pic on  a regular piece of paper and sending it to my son for Halloween. Maybe he can share it with the other SR's, if he's not embarrassed by it.
