For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

CatMom: I think that robmomma is looking for refundable tickets because the form letter tells them to do that. I know that mine did. I didn't purchase them though and my son was delayed so I had to pay 2 change feea, but even with that, it was still cheaper to purchase non-refundable tickets. As all are finding out, refundable tickets are EXPENSIVE!

lisa: Sorry, other SRs cannot "share" their alloted spots for graduation. They will only allow the 4 on the list in. The sailors could get in big trouble if they try to share a spot....so that is not a possibility. If is possible that your 5th person could go to the Chapel on base and watch the LiveStream of the PIR service, joining you after it is over. There is never any way that "extras" are allowed into PIR Hall for the ceremony, however. The other option is to have your 5th person watch the Livestream at the hotel and meet you after it is over to share time with your sailor.

Got the second call yesterday :) last week I missed it and felt horrible. He sound good and was one a two who didn't have to have their wisdom teeth pull :) one very happy girlfriend. I can't wait for his letter :) he is ship 14 div 11

Hi guys. My son is on Ship 14 DIV 12. Does anybody have 1 open chair for graduation? We have 5 people going but only 4 spots. My 13 year old will end up being left behind and heartbroken.

I think Southwest has tickets where you can change when and where you use them without being charged for that change. Refundable tickets are really expensive. I don't understand why you are looking for refundable tickets?
