Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

southwest also told me no refundable for my tickets , I thought it would not be a problem if anything changed , but phone rep told me no refund so....Monday advised to call customer relations see what they can do for me since its military. fingers crossed

Career Mom if you become a frequent flyer you might be able to change with no fees. try to book directly with the airline of your choice.

@TerriNavyMom I purchased a multipack of 7 AT&T calling cards at SAMs for around $28. They each have 125 minutes on them. I sent my SR with one and put another in a letter this week.

For those who need to leave the house, but are afraid to miss a call....can you forward your home phone to our cell....and then keep your cell on vibrate/ring mode and in your bra???? :-) Many in the past have done that! That way, you most likely will not miss it!
