Ship12Div16Mom: Our suggestion about not mailing colored envelopes is because there occasionally have been RDCs in the past who have kidded a SR about that.....but the majority are fine. We just like to pass on "better to be safe than sorry" info! I wouldn't worry about it. Most of the RDCs are fine with it.
Welcome! Love your profile picture, it precious. Been trying for a week to place a profile picture , everytime it doesn't work :/
*while they recuperate
amity: Glad you are here!
Wisdom teeth extraction at Bootcamp is one of the most common procedures done....if not THE most common. They take them out if they feel there is any chance of them causing issues later on, like when deployed on a ship! They don't take everyone's out though....some are ok....others they may watch and take out during A School if necessary. They get a couple of days of SIQ (sick in rack) while the recuperate.
Yes Melissa, Our boys will be in a little discomfort this week.... I knew about this as did my son. I offered to have then taken out over the summer but he wasn't sure if he was allowed and choose to wait for boot to have them out. Was my first time he as an adult made his own decision. My thoughts and prayers are with them all, always <3
