While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 802
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

My Son is on this ship. So surprised he is graduating so soon. He only arrived on Tuesday Oct 1. His birthday is Saturday October 12. He will be 19. This has been his dream since he was very young. So Proud

Our son also left on the 1st and is on this ship and Div. It was a surprise to see his PIR date, but a blessing, too. That way we can have pictures for the family at Thanksgiving. Now just waiting for that first "real" letter.

our son texted us[ just before he gave up his phone] that he could call in 3 weeks
and we think they can write letters on sundays

Letter writing on Sundays. There are usually 3 calls. The "I'm here" call, possible another in 2 to 3 weeks, and finally the "I'm a sailor call' after Battlestations. That is all got from my son, but I have heard of of more. They could be able to make calls for doing well on tests or working well as a team. But remember, No News is Good News"

Thanks so much for that. That's what we had thought. Although, we thought we might be getting a letter this week. I imagine they're a little busy. We have been reading around, and if our son is doing the "pre-spec-warfare" we don't know the technical term for 8 weeks after BC, will he have to report there the evening of the 22nd, or will he have more time?

BeachBeth it is call PreBuds or Buds Prep. He will have a short time, maybe 20 minutes or so to spend with you after PIR and then he will move to his new base. After a few hours you will get a call to come pick him back up. He then will have to be back at a specific time that night. The same goes for the rest of the weekend. You can pick him up in the morning, which is early.

Hello Ladies, My son also arrived Oct 1. I got the "I'm here call". Hoping for a letter. Maybe at the end of this week. Maybe not. lol I walked by his room yesterday and it seemed like he should be there laying in bed saying, "Ok, I'm getting up."
I sure miss him. But like everyone elses son here. He worked hard to get this far and was ready for the next step in his life. God bless you ladies.

Nothing. We haven't even received the form letter yet. Called the recruiter for division and address.
