The trick is to have the FB page open and then a couple of other tabs open with certain sections of the website open, *quickly* find the answer, and *quickly* do a copy and paste to the FB page as a comment to the original question.  Sometimes (due to all the activity happening, I'm guessing) comments don't post.

It gets exciting and stressful but fun.  I'm always so happy to see someone soooo happy to win and even though I don't know a soul in the winning picture, I love seeing it!  I always imagine the scene when the winning division is notified what is going on and gets their picture taken :)

so did you win?

A friend of RKproudmom's won for her!!

great job

Ladies....I'm hearing wonderful things about our guys in  801!!  So proud of all of them!

Do tell!  What kinds of good things?

We've learned that they have all their flags and are on track to receive Hall of Fame!  He said they apparently set the record for fastest time and least safety violations during Marlinspike.

He also said how happy he was to get their picture taken for Wacky Wednesday.  To quote him "I was pretty damn happy when CHief started complaining about civilians showing up in the compartment and saying it was (SR's name) fault. I knew exactly what it was about. We were right in the middle of preparing for a huge inspection. I was so happy that you guys would be able to see me."  I had told him about us trying to win a picture :)

sjtina....When do they find out which Class they are in?  Do they know now?  Or do they find out after their liberty weekend and they begin pre/BUD/S?

Sounds like you will be joining 293.

I am sure you are all getting ready for PIR. So exciting, take lots of pictures. Definately proud momma moments. They look so handsome in their dress blues. They havent had a sweet treat in quite awhile, so pack his favorite.

I love this story, my son said when they would march by the parking lot he would see sailors with their families after PIR and he said he couldnt wait until it was his turn.

Warning..saying goodbye is almost as bad as saying goobye when they left for BC, but just think they will be home for the holidays in no time. Get the "Welcome Home" banners ready.

He isn't so much for sweets (I know, I still can't believe that) but he does LOVE oatmeal craisin cookies and I have those made already and packed to bring for him :)

As excited as I am to see him, it also makes me blue because I know the journey ahead.  Wow, if they are 293 (which is what my intuition is telling me) they will have a fairly short preBUD/S.

So looking forward to our cal tomorrow!!

Thank you Tina and best wishes to you and your son!  Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Congratulations to your new sailors and welcome to Pre Buds Class 2 9 3

Well now I'm not actually sure....my son has heard they might be the start of 294.  So who knows?
