My son is in Div 006. I am getting sooo excited about PIR! The time is going by faster than I thought it would. I'm hoping to get a phone call today. I missed his first call last Friday, but his Dad got to talk to him. I'm so glad he was home. I would have been really heartbroken if my son did not get to talk to one of us. How is your son doing?
Make sure you order your ribbons and the div shirt. I called about the pictures as well. Are you going to the M&G?
Call 972-347-6655 for the info about div shirts but make sure your recruit is not ordering them. Don't forget to get your ribbon and order your free blue star flag at www.mybluestarflag.com.
although this may sound like a stupid question, what are the division t-shirts? :/
Kfell3-not a stupid question at all. Each division carries a flag with something on it that they designed during PIR. You can order them when you go up but it probably will have to be mailed to you. My son told me that he just got his order in. I think his order will be waiting at PIR.
alrighty, thanks so much. hopefully he ordered one but who knows lol
Yes my son is on the same ship same division. He arrived on 10-4-10 for boot camp. I spoke with him on Wednesday and he sounded good I was surprised. We can't wait for PIR I'm so excited I have my count down on the fridge. How is your recruit doing? Where can you get the division shirt? Do you have information about the pictures?
I sent you a message.
My daughter is Ship 09 Div 007. I will be traveling to PIR with my younger (16) daughter and we will be at Meet & Greet at the Ramada, although we are staying at the Super 8. Can't wait to meet all you moms and can't wait to hug my daughter. She called last week Tuesday and sounded good.
Hope to see you there. I have not book lodging yet because I did not know which family members will be going. Now I know and I will do that this week. I want to have a kitchen so my son can watch tv, relax in the clothes I bring him and not go out to eat. A meal cooked by mom is what he wants.
Hope to see you at the Ramada.
My daughter is in Div 007 and we are so very excited to see her in just 3 weeks! We have airline and hotel booked and all I have left is my car rental. My husband and I will also be at the Meet and Greet at the Ramada, though we are staying at the Springhill Suites. Not much longer now and how about that overnight Liberty??? :) Hope you are all getting lots of letters and have had a phone call or two! Blessings to you all.
I'm so excited about the overnight liberty. My two girls are only two years apart and the younger one (who is 16) is missing her sister and confidante like crazy. This will give them time to talk - a true answer to prayer. I think we will probably take the train into Chicago on Friday. We leave Saturday around noon. Are any of you planning to go to Johnny's for Thanksgiving? I heard talk of it but it doesn't seem like a time has been nailed down. I don't want to get stuck without reservations. It won't be long now and I honestly can't wait. This is going to be awesome.
