DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I just wanted to thank everyone for verifying that our loved ones will not be traveling that Wednesday.

I know all of you volunteers work very hard to keep this forum going.  And that you spend countless hours reading posts and providing help, input, suggestions, and otherwise making sure those of us new to the Navy family are helped as much as possible.

Thank you again for all your hard work!

Got a phone call today, ship 11 div 019... Sadly, the connection was so bad I could barely hear anything she was saying :( but she did say today was week 2 day 4, she said she has become really good friends with a girl from La Mirada who moved to Seattle recently. Was wondering if that's any of your guys daughter? It's so cool, cause la Mirada is very close to home so it makes her feel less homesick. She sounded very sad and said her division continues to struggle. At this point she is just counting down to graduation. Aren't we all

Finally got my Form Letter today, SR left on 10/06 and he said he mailed it early like week, it was post marked 10/21 so I would assume it just didn't make it off the base right away.  I am just glad it finally came, no calls today though 06-026

I agree with CatMom.  They will NOT fly out on Wed night....for 2 reasons:

1.  It is the night before Thanksgiving!!!!  Flights are booked and then some...and

2.  They never fly out on PIR Day....but they can be bussed later that night to the airports to wait for flights the next day.  Don't think that will happen in this group since that next day is Thanksgiving!
