Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Still waiting to hear from my daughter Ship 11 Div. 19. I was hoping to hear from her this week and since many of you have gotten a call was ever more exciting thinking yesterday would be my day.  Have not even had a letter but hoping the Sat. mail will be kind to me tomorrow.  I guess as they say no news is good news when it comes to BC.  Anyone with a Ship 11 Div 19 get any news from their sailors?  Thanks

Hang in there! It's so tough to wait, but you can do it! Hopefully a call/letter will come soon!

My son is Ship 2 Div 903 we would love a letter BUT knowing my son he is more of the wait until he gets a chance to call kinda guy. I'm sure they are all doing good, busy and absorbed in learning and applying themselves to a new way of living as non civilians.

@ JWo what Ship and DIV is your son in?

I am so hoping for a letter. My daughter is in Ship 11 DIV 020.

I got a letter this morning from my son! It was posted Tuesday and he wrote on the 3rd, the 8th and the 11th and sent it as one mailing. He sounds very happy! Feeling relieved!

Your recruits will not support this PIR.

900 Divisions usually support their own PIR and the two PIR's before their own.

Good Morning All,

What are the chances or our SR's assisting with the PIR scheduled for this morning? I see some mom's are posting pictures of recruits on Facebook and just wondered if our future sailors have a chance at this time of being one of them or if it is still too early for them to participate.
