Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 023 and 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

DeborahRC: Keeping my fingers crossed for a letter too!  Don't stress to much about her needing to drop her time down.  From what a lot of friends told us (who had been in the military from 20 years ago, to one on leave from the AF) the last thing they want is for these SR's not to pass.  They all will keep working on PT, AND she's got others in her division, who are going to be cheerleaders for her, and she'll return the favor when they need her :)  Don't worry to much...she'll do great!!

addgrey : THAT IS AWESOME!!!  I'm so glad for you!!!!  Now you can carry it around, and re-read it a hundred times, like the rest of us :) YAY!

I have read it SO many times today!

Looks like from our main page that divisions 19, 20 and 22 (from what i quickly saw) are calling  :)

Yea!!! --that great news that letters and calls are finding their way  :)

I'm wondering if ours will be calling Friday or, Saturday.

Got a call Saturday night and it was the best surprise ever..he is in div 24...I was so excited I forgot eeverything I wanted to ask him..this week im keeping a list..

I got my first letter today!! He had the wrong zip code, so I just now got the letter. I never did receive the official letter with his PIR info on it. He told me in a phone call when it was. How important is that letter, and do I heed one?

Good morning ladies!  Ohmygosh y'all...I just watched the last 10 minutes, of today's PIR!!!  All I can say is have some tissues handy, if that's all you watch.  It was awesome to see them all standing at attention, the music, the whole ambiance of it!   I'm geeking out here, my SR would be so proud!!  So glad some of you received letters, and calls, yesterday :) My baby girl sent me a 6 pager...needed two stamps!!  It sounds like things are going well for most of them, besides the homesickness, but they love the letters!  I've said this several times (forgive me everyone who has already read this before, but as you can tell it's important to me) to all of the newer members, please consider writing an extra letter, for anyone that doesn't get mail on a particular day.  Thank you!!  Happy Friday and let's keep our fingers crossed for the 847 area code to pop up on the caller ID!!

@ DeborahRC - Joy is my son's girfriend! Glad that those two are bunkmates!! I got a letter from her a few days ago telling me that she's actually have fun and wasn't as bad as what she thought!

Is anyone else having trouble getting the posts on their email?  I look forward to that "ding" all day long, since I can't always sit at the computer, but none today...just on the website, no email notification.  Shut everything down, restarted and still nothing.  Just wondering...

I watched the graduation this morning too!  I cannot wait!

I know my son had made a few friends one he says is his closest friend he is from Wisconsin initials B B id love to chat with his mom if she is on here:)
