Good morning ladies!  We got our letter and she is on Ship 11 Div 24...addgrey our kiddos are shipmates!!  diannep I did read about "adopting" a sailor, at PIR, and we definitely plan on doing that.  Thank you diannep for the suggestion of Lowells for Thanksgiving dinner, Arizona mom I did try and make a reservation, online, last night and I couldn't.  Possibly it's to far out...I was going to call today though, I'll let you know if I have any luck!!

The free phone cards are nice.  But each call will probably take up one of the 20 min cards.  Connection fees from the pay phones are high.  It is great that they share with the other SRs.  You all may want to purchase a phone card for them (250 minutes minimum would be good) and tuck it in your next letter.  I know your SR will appreciate it.  He/she can buy one at the NEX with their Recruit Debit Card, but of course, it saves them money if you mail them one.

ArizonaMom:  No rhyme or reason for times/days of phone calls, but with new groups, they usually let them call before the 3 week call.  CatMom is great about giving a headsup to the groups about that like she did here!

Congrats on any calls received today!  They can call early so have the phone close if you plan to "sleep in!"  They normally do not call early on Sundays because of church, etc....but can call after 1 pm Central.  If they called today, they will not call tomorrow, but other divisions may.  Always have the phone close.

Good Morning!

I got a call this morning! It was great to hear her voice. She confirmed her PIR and address which was a great relief since I have not received her form letter. Ship 12, Div 20. Time to make my travel arrangements. This momma is a happy one now!!!

Kc, my bf is also in ship 13 div 022 ! I have free phone cards to give out 20 minutes per call I can give you the email address to ask if you want alot also. He gave me 12 so my bf can use 6 and 6 to give out to the other SR who needs them.
