They will go to their A schools. If they are not going to A school in GL, they will leave the day after PIR, usually early in the morning. You may go to the airport with them & give them their electronics and any clothes they may want to bring with them.
Hi Debbie,
If they go to A school in GL will they have free time with us off of the base? Do they stay with us or do they go back to the base at night? When/how will we know where they are going after BC?
Thanks!
They will have free time with you after PIR, but will have to return to base. Your SR will know. Did he/she know what job (rate) they will be doing? I believe they will be assigned while in BC if they didn't know before they went in. My son is aviation ordnance, so he will go to Pensacola.
Hi Debbie...I believe that is what my son will be doing too and going to Pensacola, where our first son was stationed for a couple years :)
Hi mo2s,
is your son ship 04 div 022? And AO? I've been searching for someone else who's doing that! Is your other son still in?
Hi...no he is Ship 12 Div 030. I know he is going to Pensacola though. And yes, our other son is still in. He is currently stationed at Whidbey Island, WA (we live in Eastern WA) and is attached to a P3 squadron. He is the TO. They lived in FL for 6 years so I am glad to have them back closer to home. Where are you from?
Rae
Hi,
I'm in MN. What is a TO? Does son in BC PIR 11/30?
Having them close is so nice.
It's a Tachtical (SP?) Operator on the plane. And while he has explained many times his job, my pea brain cannot keep it straight in my head. The Navy (Military) has so many anagrams for things/jobs, etc it's hard to keep it straight. Yes, BC son does have his PIR 11/30. Where are you staying?
meam,
Do you ever get on the chat? I learned alot there, and the women are so very nice, helpful, funny! Try it if you get the chance. Warning: It can become addictive!!
