Shout out to all the moms out there that have sons in this ship/division!  Be strong, and know that there is no greater honor than to serve in today's military.  These young people end up having such dedication, it makes my heart swell!

Got my 2nd letter from my SR today!  I was told that "the food is pretty damn good except for breakfast which sucks every morning".  My SR is the same on that left for BC!!! :-)

I received a letter today from my SR. He said they are entering hell week (17th - 24th). If he gets thru that then it should be smooth from then on. I am affraid to order airfare til I know he has made it thru this week.  Does anybody know what this week consists of?  Happy Holidays!

Not sure what it consists of.  My SR did not say anything about this happening.  Let me know what you find out.

I went ahead and booked out hotel, air fare and rental car.  I could not wait!

My SR wrote me and he said that Hell Week consisted of many inspections, a test and PFA, which I am pretty sure is Physical fitness.  He said it shouldn't be to bad.

I booked the hotel as soon as I got the graduation date.  I was going to rent car but we decided to take taxi and the train into chicago on saturday.  The lodge is only a mile from the base and same with the train station.

we received another letter today.  SR sounds great, in the middle of HELL week but doing well.  Has passed PFA and perfect score on 2 inspections this far.  Pictures were today, can't wait to see those, and division tshirts and hoodies are being sold.  Unbelievable that in a few short weeks we will se our SR's....I can not wait, for all of you that are lucky to head out there for Christmas day, be safe and enjoy your time....we will all see each other on the 14th!
