Did Justin verify Grad n Go? Nick was talking about leaving for Christmas, but he didn't send the paper that we need to fax back...........
Nick said that they are leaving for the day and they get to wear their dress blues. I don't think that he is expecting me to drive out that day. But, don't think the thought hasn't crossed my mind. Mike said no.
We live about 53 miles from the base. I am still unclear on how much time they will have over that weekend. Can anyone help me. We received notice that he has Christmas off. So we are getting him. Not sure what he will feel like doing, coming home or staying close to base. Anyone else have ideas. Etc. Charlotte Anne
I don't think he is allowed 53 miles from base. The limit is 50. You must be so happy that you are going to see him for Christmas. I wish I lived closer..........
I am in my classroom trying to do this. No teacher of the year for me, today. I am thinking of just going there for breakfast. I just want to see him. We will see what happens. Snow may fall and the whole thing could end. So it is a wait and see process. My son is not big on the details of all this. Just that it is hard, yet he likes it. Mr. Postive. Thanks for your reply
Where are you coming from? I would love to see my recruit. It makes me want to cry knowing that I could see him but I won't be able to.....Hug yours tight for me............
My son told me to start writing every day. I was sending letters every 2 or 3 days. I know that they seem very homesick. So glad for you........
I received two more letters yesterday from my son. I wonder when they will be able to call home? Im praying this weekend I will be able to hear his voice.
I still have not received a letter...
It takes about 8 to 9 days for him to get my mail. He mailed me letters on the 30th and received them on the 6th. Dont worry they will come. He said mail is very slow.
We are in Maryland if that helps you anyway. You can tell he is lonely and attitude not the best by his letters. They said it would be like this for the first 4 weeks. Hang in there!!!
Wow! Did your son leave on the 15th from MEPS? Where in Maryland?
