For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This is for all of us who have recruits graduating from RTC on January 14th, 2011. Here we can all support eachother through the long separation and prepare to see our US Navy Sailors for the first time after RTC.

Anyone know? it sounds like she has to process to her next duty right after graduation. Will I get to spend time with her at all?? Im proud and my nerves are shot at the same time.
Any info is appreciated.

DramaboysMom - do you know where we can take the boys Christmas Day to see pretty Christmas decorations in GL?

Comment by J&D<3 on December 3, 2010 at 6:56pm: From what I heard about the the calling thing is on Sundays they wake up do their "house keeping" eat breakfast after they can either go to church etc or they can write or make phone calls but I guess they have like a huge line to use the phone that's why it's short when they call soo yea but I could be wrong it's different with every group and who's in charge...and I think everyone should try to attent PIR and look at is as them graduating high school..but not haha but it's really important !! But If you can't Afford it it's understandable :)

I kinda figure no matter what happens, he knows we support him and if he leaves right away? My hubby and I have a romantic weekend away in warm and sultry Chicago in January!
