Lex and Kat: that would be hard to decide. We always knew our Son was staying in Great Lakes for A school since he is Advanced Electronics, so I don't know what advice to give you. I'm sorry, I think you are going to have to follow your heart and do what is right for you Like lex said. Good Luck!

lex..I think you need to do what feels right for you. I'm worried about that also. I haven't heard whether my son is grad 'n go yet, but I did by the trip insurance in case I need to change dates. I figure I can visit him at A school on a weekend when I would be more reasonably sure I'd be able to actually spend time with him..

Blessedsailorsmom, I know what you mean. We are going back and forth on renting a car. I am a little nervous for us driving, being from California, on those icy roads. We are staying so close at The Navy Lodge, I would just rather take taxis if that is possible. But we will be there for a week so I'm not sure what to do.

navfam...I know our kids are in the same ship/div...I have only received one short letter and ZERO attempts at a phone call! Ugh. In my early married years my husband was active duty Marine Corps. I guess maybe I understand somewhat, but it is frustrating to want to hear from them so bad. It's crazy how fast time is going though!

Blessedsailorsmom, My son was vans guy too. He actually bought boots at the Military Supply at the first of this year so he could get used to wearing that type of boot. He didn't mention anything about his feet hurting yet. So hopefully that helped a little.
