Who knows my son could have called his girlfriend too and I would never know. We don't have really any contact with her. It was a fairly new relationship when he left. I would hope he would call me and I am pretty sure he would, but who knows. Thanks for the info on the call and what to expect about how it comes up on my phone. Hang in there!

Dramaboysmom AMEN!!!! but I'm not so lucky...SHE CALLED THE BOYFRIEND!!!!! Amd I missed the call on Sunday...which like I said was probably not a "REAL" call. She left no message. Oh well, 1/14 will come soon enough.

logansmama According to the experienced Moms if they are calling for info. for security clearance, or medical info. it will come up with US Govt, or on a cell with the whole number whereas if they making a "REAL" call to chat, then it either comes up private or the number & says pay phone FYI area code is 847

It really isnt trouble to bring the trees. We live close enough, and have a big enough vehicle. Honest. As for the phone call. Lucky Navfam. My son wnet in on 11-10 and didn't get precessed until 11-22. But says they are still scheduled to graduate on the 14-Jan. But after reading what J&D said about their chief retiring, I would bet they are gonna push this group. Hey, they are our kids, husbands, BF whatever, WE KNOW THEY ARE TOUGH! am I right? Can I get an A men!

navyfam, I hope that wasn't her call you missed. I know that is my biggest fear. We don't have a land line so I know my son will call on my cell so it is on me 24/7. I am trying to be patient, but it is hard as you know. Congrats to everyone who has received a call.

J & DThanks so much for all the details you posted...gives me comfort since I have only rec'd 1 very short letter. Nothing about what was going on..except about having blisters!

nicksmomI know the feeling...I did miss a call on my cell & the house phone on Sunday, we were walking out of church...but according to the experienced Moms it was probably an information call since called ID on the home phone listed US Govt & the number. She didn't leave a message, I was totally bummed, because I figured she woudl call the boyfriend for a "real' call.

Dramaboysmom You are so kind...what a thoughtful person, I agree with Logansmama seems like a lot of trouble but I sure appreciate you even thinking of it :) I think we have a great PIR group!

As for the calls my daughter called her boyfriend in the evening about 7:00 pm Illinois time. She called on Wed. which for her was exactly 3 weeks of being in GL since she arrived 11/10

I know I am so nervous that I am going to miss my phone call. That would be devastating..........
