LETTERS!!!! I am so excited. Sounds good, same rollercoaster thoughts that I expected. That is what makes the second time around a little easier. Has been sick but I believe on course. I have some last names of some in his division so anyone who is in Ship 7, Division 45, e-mail me outside of here at tsuggs@hsblawfirm.com. He did send the blue form for us to get him Christmas Day. DramaboysMom, do you think I should list a local hotel address? Thanks.

Thanks Tamme. I will watch what I write. Also, Check your e mail. I sent you the #.
I am still uncertain about where we are staying for PIR. We are debating about bringing his dog to see him, but if he is GnG it would be rather futile. So We will probably take the pooch for Christmas. Maybe. Depends.

DramaboysMom, thanks so much for sharing your letter. It makes me feel like I've gotten one even though I haven't. One thing I want to mention is watch what you put on here. The RDCs do read this site. I made the mistake when my first son was there by mentioning that my son writes me every day a little (like I suggested he do) and then puts all of them in the envelope on the day they are allowed to write. His RDC approached him about it and he got in trouble. I felt so bad. Plus his letters weren't as detailed then because he didn't give me daily updates that were fresh in his mind by the time he got to write the once-a-week letter.

Dramasboymom Thanks for all the info. We received a short letter from our daughter last weekend but it was short! So thanks for all the details, even though she is not in the same division it gives me some sense of what is going on! She is in the same ship! Div 044. BTW where are you staying for PIR? I am more than likely going by myself so I'm just trying to get a sense of where most people are staying.

Ok Ladies. I am praying for all of you to get letters. I got my first real letter, hand written and all yesterday. Cole said that this division was put on processing hold until they got enough females to fill their division. They were supposedly ready to start processing on Friday Nov 19, and then continue through the w/e but the civilians that work in medical don't work on w/e so they had to wait again. They could not send letters until processing is done so the first time they are able to send letters is 1-3 or 1-5 ( Week one, day 3 or week one day 5). THAT is why we have not heard from our kids.
He said that the RDC's were great until the recruits passed fit and full duty, then the RDC turned into jerks. He said that there is a wide age and job range within his division, but that the RDC ignore the Nuke kids. ( Or give them more PT, one way or the other) Said he and several other nukes tried to get placed on Division Staff, but the RDC's just ignor them. He is a Section Leader. I laughed when he said that he and 3or4 buddies keep each other in line and try to keep their logical brain turned off from revillee until taps. He begins to write in all caps, then jokingly said his "cap lock" is on because they have to write everything in all caps. Said sometimes you will see it get stuck on in the middle of a sentence for no reason.

Was good to get the letter. Was giddy to find out we live close enough, ( and have relatives close enough) to be able to see him at Christmas. I asked a friend whose son and DIL are air force since he can't have anything to take back to base, what might be the best thing to get them (Cole and the SR he is bringin home) She said.. FOOD... just let them eat and eat. and take lots of pictures.
So everyone. I know it's long, but I know I enjoy hearing (reading) about all your children's information. Although each division and experience is different, We all share the love of our kids, husbands, brothers, etc.
