I found great rates out of Myrtle Beach. I guess since it is winter, it is a golf haven. So whoever is in NC, you may want to drive there like we are. $72 each way.

DramaboysMom--I gues she is in a performing division, but she's a non performer so because of that she got to repair refles las Saturday. Of coarse she liked that lol. Says the girls are "ok" and that they aren't aloud to talk to talk to the "boys". Oh and I guess those ugly glasses that they give them made her sick so she got to put her own pair back on. She also said that it was hard but that she could make it with our love, support and as she put it "LETTERS!!!!"

I'm thinking maybe we could go see her on Christmas but don't even know if thats an option or not yet.

DramaboysMom, did your son send you the Christmas Day paper? Do you know what time they are released and when they have to return? Thanks. My son is in 07, 45 and we are thinking about flying out to see him for Christmas Day. Speaking of Nukes, I am in Charleston SC, so let me know if I can every do anything for you.

Hi Everyone, sorry about the confusion I know that the Ramada Inn has a meet and greet for all in PIR 1/14 I just set that up so that We could know who was planning on going now matter what Div you sailor is in. Just trying to stay on top of things, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...and no no letter in the mail today again!!!!!!

YAY thinga mabob! I got 2 and he sent his brother one! He missed getting into 900 div because he was "asked" to help with ditty bag issue, so he missed 900 muster. Dang! He wanted to march with drill unit. THEN... i found out why their processing took so long. they had to wait for enough girls to fill their division. So he went in on Nov 10, they p held him until 19th. THEN they had to wait until 22 because there are no civilians to help with medical, etc on the weekend. SO his unit is about 12 days behind/.. BUT WAIT.. they are still going to graduate on 1-14. The best part of all...... WE can have him for 12 hours on CHRISTMAS DAY! the caveat is he has to take another sailor with him because apparently they ALL have to be off base for a while.( trust me... my kid is Always off base... *snicker*) So I have my paper, and the name of they other young man who will be joining us. He is also from Ship 07 Div046. As I know more I will post more, and hopefully we can narrow it down. Intials are LL.
I am very excited and praying for all you others who are still waiting for communication. I have other news from him reguarding Nukes in his division. But I will save that for another post!

Good Afternoon everyone. I hope you are all having a great day. I am missing my sailor so much today. It is her 21st birthday. I was able to call a local bakery in VA and order her a birthday cake :-) Wish I could share it with her.

Welcome frissytx! My Son says he is having fun too. His letter sounded like it was from Summer Camp not Boot Camp. I was sooo happy. I am sure you will get yours very soon. Hang in there. By the way your profile pic is way cute. You and your Daugher look exactly alike. Take Care.
