DramaboysMom, I am thinking good thoughts that you and the others who have not will get your letters soon. I know it's hard but I am sure you will get there anytime. Take Care and Good Luck. My Son went in on November 10th as well. Obviously each division is different.

And all of you with letters, keep pulling for us who have not heard anything but form letters. Our son went in on Nov 10 and tomorrow will be 4 weeks without anything more than the form letter. The "letter" said that his div was in p-hold (processing hold) and the date on the postmark was nov 19. so keep pulling for us in Ship 07 Div 046!

Finally got two letters today, guess I can stop stalking the mailman for a day or two. My grandson said he's loving boot camp, although it is hard. He had his wisdom teeth pulled the day before Thanksgiving, so was on a liquid diet for the next day. Feel so much relief now that I've heard from him and so glad that he is doing fine. He made friends in his division (Ship 12 Div 041). Passed his swim test, he was worried about that. Very happy today!

Diannep Thanks so much for your post as well...you are right it is a personal decision...please send up a prayer that I am able to go....the bf may not end up being able to go or it might just be him & I would hate for her to end up with noone there!!!

Lynne Your post was touching... I choked up & am hoping I am able to go to my daughter's PIR! As of now she has the boyfriend & his kids on the list (older than baby stage so they count) making it 3 people & I truly believe she doesn't want to offend any of us by adding just 1. You know, she doesn't want to have to choose who gets the last spot. I have all of my ducks in a row so I can make arrangements as soon as she says it a "go"...hanging on to that hope :)
