It doesn't really take days for divisions to fill up...it is done relatively quickly....it is just that processing does take time...this is when they do their paper work, get immunizations, there is just a lot to do, they learn basic rules...so those first two weeks they just have a lot going on.

If you are in the same division your PIR will be the same

I know y'all are in a hurry but you have your PIR group if you know it like here and you have Boot Camp for Moms too...this early in you aren't going to find lots of people in your divisions...you will get a bigger burst of people in weeks 3 to 5 and then again towards the end...

Does anyone know if PIR is delayed if they are waiting for the division to fill up?

Let me give you the pros and cons as I see them of groups vs. discussion forums. I am sure Jessica and Dianne have some feelings about this as well. I was the leader of my PIR group and I started discussion forums from the very beginning for each division in our PIR. We only had one division that ventured out and actually established a group on their own. It actually never really clicked because everyone used the discussion forums. It really kept the PIR group as the central focus. Even though you are in different divisions there are still a lot of similarities. Sometimes when you get involved in a divisional group you may get so focused on that you miss some things about your PIR group. That is just my opinion. Our PIR group was very close knit, we had relationships within and across divisions. Remember when your recruits graduate boot camp divisions mean less and they go to A-school with recruits from various divisions. So, many of us who knew each other have now found that in A-school our sailors have found each other. In fact, some of our parents and fiancees have actually provided temporary housing to others while they have been at A-school looking for apartments or visiting their sailors. So if you do establish groups outside of this PIR group...really work hard to make this your central focus, and consider having discussion forums for each division here. They are fun!!

It looks like in this PIR group they are starting individual groups as well so feel free to start your group for division 908.

or there is a "discussion above" about the division as well!
