Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you to all who wished Div 043 and 044 luck.  I'll be sure to let you all know how things went tomorrow sometime. 

I just finished packing, trying to keep busy... So full of emotions. I keep looking at the clock as if the time went by any faster.  My candle is lit, my thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Can't wait to meet everyone at the Meet & Greet on Thursday night or at PIR....I am packed and ready to leave...... Pray for good traveling weather...we are leaving Wednesday morning at 2 a.m.   Safe travels to everyone else.......

@ dramaboysmom & NS: Thanks for the suggestions! They both sound great if our sailor is in a pizza mood! I'm wondering if they will have long lines though!? Anyone else have any favorite places to eat?

Good luck to Divisions 43 & 44 with Battlestations tonight. I can't wait to read the details of the "I'm a sailor" calls tomorrow.

good morning all.....the whirlwind has begun here in Htown....thunderstorms and cold temps have blwon in....now I am finalizing our preparations to leave for GL to attend PIR. I am getting so excited and want it to be Thursday morning already...off to fix breakfast for everyone since we are all here :)
