Has everyone lit your candles for battlestations !!
I have been praying for my SR and the whole division all day and continue to do so.
Lets go boys and girls ...HOOOYAH <3
kjconner says it well. How far along are you? My SR was a pre-mie (7 weeks early) and I worked until 8 hours before I had him. We had just moved into a new house a week before. If I had it to do over again, I would have listened better to my body at that time. By the time my contractions started they were 3 minutes apart and when I got to the hospital (3 hours later) I was already at 5.Within 4 minutes I was an 8 so there was no turning back. Our decision was it was God's will and thankfully we had a healthy, strong son.
You know in your heart what you can handle. You also know what your head is telling you. Listen to your little one and your body. There are other types of "volunteer" work you can do to occupy your time. I understand this is helping with your schooling, but working in a frustrating situation can be far more stressful during a pregnancy.
Take care. Listen to your body!
bluewarriorlady - Maybe your doctor could write a letter and you could try for some kind of disability due to the pregnancy, especially since you were seen in the hospital. Good luck and take it easy!
Hello Ladies!! Hope that everyone is doing well today. I have been thinking about you all lately, but haven't had the chance to leave a comment. I have been praying for all of your SRs during BS as well as for peace and happiness towards all of you.
Since you all seem to be the only friends and family that I talk to -- even though not that often, I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I have been battling the flu for the past couple of days, and my job has been giving me a hard time about not being able to come in because of sickness, doctor's appointments, school, etc. I do not wish to withdraw from school at this time -- my professors are so helpful and willing to help me during this pregnancy. The truth is, I have been stressed out from work and I work close to 40 hours per week. I will be going on maternity leave soon, but truth is I don't think that I can make it until then. I don't feel like I have had the chance to really enjoy being pregnant, and with the youth population I work with I keep getting exposed to various germs etc. I don't make very much money at work -- it is a volunteer opportunity that pays a small stipend, but the experience is wonderful. So the question is, do you think that I should quit my job? I am seriously considering it. But I don't want to do it an regret it. But I am concerned about my pregnancy. I was already in the hospital last week for contractions that I apparently couldn't feel. I'm pretty sure my husband would support me no matter what decision I made, but I hate not working. I have some money saved up so we won't be struggling, and it would give me a better opportunity to focus on school without all the hassle. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
