Redsmom, do you think that includes contacts can be mailed and worn for PIR?

Lex, the next phone call should be the "I'm a Sailor" call after Battlestations.  I know we all hate the saying - but right now, no news is good news.  The only calls that typically come before BS is if they get sick and have to go with another division for BS.

do you ladies think that we could b receiving phone calls today?? Or not till next week?

LoveourRecruit ~ you definitely can mail him his OWN glasses. I already asked that on the RTC FB page and was told to mail them a week in advance from PIR. Good Luck!!

LoveourRecruit:  Does he have contacts?  They are allowed to wear those, but I don't believe they can wear their own glasses. You may want to to go YouTube and look at some of the PIR videos to see if you see glasses other than the BCG ones. I don't remember seeing regular glasses when I was up there.  I wouldn't send them unless he finds out for sure that he can have them.

LoveOurRecruit- You can definitely mail them! I've seen people ask this question on the RTC facebook page and they answered saying that it is allowed!

Love, my daughter was a performer, she had a flag, so from rehearsal, she knew where they would be come out.  Maybe you could ask your sailor where in the hall he'll be.  The hall is long, so you have the side where you enter from and then the other side is all the way pass all the seats. My daughter told me to meet her on the left if I were facing the bleachers.  My son will be graduating on 1/14/2011.  Hope you'll be able to figure.

They all wear those awful glasses to PIR.  My daughter wore hers.  They are awful. Is your sailor in one of the performance division? I noticed that you are a 900 division and they usually are the performers.  I was able to see my daughter right before the ceremony started as they came first to set up.  She told us exactly where she would have been when I spoke with her on the phone and also in a letter she sent, so we went to find her.
