i just got my second phone call from my boyfriend !
AMEN DramaBoysMom! I wish that was the way it was in the civilian life too! Too many sweets...food in general....bad foods...very bad on the body. There is nothing like having a body in good physical shape...which you all will see at PIR!
Whoohoo - I got mail yesterday!!
He really sounds pumped up! Letter was dated 12/12- he said they ran Marlinspike on 12/10 their DIV did good with only 3 violations. Their brother DIV had 28 violations. He feels that they are really gelling as a whole now. Explained the next week beginning 12/13 would be 'HELL" week. Physical & written testing everyday. This has all concluded by now and I know they did fine:-) He further said that the next week beginning 12/20 they will do the Gas Chambers. Praying for success for them all.
No other news or comments about his knee I am taking that as a GOOD sign! Thank you God for healing R and removing or subduing his pain during this difficult time. Fill him with a wealth of knowledge & peace & prosperity. AMEN
Happy Momma ~ 26 days and counting....HOOYAH DIV 040!
THe limited amount of sweets probably also has to do with the effect the sugar has on the system. Not only are they trying to get their recruits to act as a team but also their bodies to act as a team.
MissinmyRecruit: Look up in the discussion section above for a discussion posted by Lynne called "Overview of Bootcamp" composed by Lydia (another vetern mom). It will give you an idea of what they are doing each week.
Vaness: Actually his "no dessert" diet may be ordered by his superiors! My son said that they weren't allowed desserts (or very limited) until after BattleStations. They really want these recruits in tip top shape from the inside out...so they work with their diet, exercise, mental attitude, etc all at once. I'm sure he will so appreciate your Christmas cookies after being denied for so long! :-)
lex: Yes, you have to be careful about sending negative news to your recruit. Better to vent on here, or private message a friend on her to vent to. They are under enormous stress at bc and need to know that all is ok on the "homefront", even if it may not be. Not that you have to lie to your recruit...but just not disclose everything. They need tons of positive support at all times during bc. You may want to try and get another letter off today...of positive content...and tell him to dismiss the other letter. No need to pull him down...you know he will worry about you, and you don't want that. We ladies are here for you anytime to help pull you back up when your days are hard! So just post!
Vanessa-sent you a friend request. Would love to hear more about the A School in California (privately of course :) )
