Has anyone ate at GoJo's in Waukegan IL? We are picking up our SR and another for Christmas and was told to check it out. I don't want to waste our precious time looking for a good family restaurant.
Yikes! 6:45 and it was already full! Sounds like it's going to be an early morning at the Hotel for us! I hate having to split the family and have 2 of us sit down low and 2 somewhere else. Dang! Always a snag somewhere. Guess all of us being there is what is important.
@joyceann~ I hope the mail is just slow since it's the holidays. Excited for the day to be over so I can go home and check the mailbox. Good thing I'm not off I might run over the mailman.......
I have written in my letters to my son the names and areas the moms I have befriended in his DIV. Also one Mom that I have connected with that thinks our sons flew to Chicago together from Houston. Really neat!
I am excited for our meet & greet the night before PIR to put names & faces together:-)
@ Lynne - I didn't understand when you say you "wrote in our names to our kids" etc. below. I probably missed something back a ways, huh. Can you expound a little? Thanks!
Joyceann..I hope your hubby is okay....the worst of it missed us...knock on wood...I am still recovering emotionally from the one 2 years ago...lol
When I got there at 6:45 the handicapped parking was already full, but they let us park in two parking spots so my motorized wheel chair was easy to load and unload. I had awesome seating in the very front row and one person got to sit with me. Listen y'all they even had recruits standing by the bathroom doors so I didn't even have to try and open the doors myself...I kind of wanted to ask if they wash my hands too...lol!! They were so kind and helpful.
In terms of your recruits knowing who you are talking to...in our PIR group we wrote in our names to our kids and the names of the moms we were"talking " with and they had a great time figuring out who went with who and then writing home to us about it...lol
redsmom-we got 3 letters today- but we are in Illinois, hopefully yours will be there tomorrow! I have found out that my son still has a sense of humor and that not only are we proud of him already, he is proud of himself and very excited at this point to become a sailor for our country! Hold tight honey, letters are coming! :)
redsmom- me too i always get one on thursday and wehn i didnt get one today it really bumed out my day.
lex-yea i hope they are messin around actin dumb but i kinda wanna know wat happened.

I was a little disappointed today that I didn't get a letter from my son:( I know that he is just a little busy and probably was writing some to others but I really looked forward to checking the mail on Thursday afternoons....sigh!
Well blessings to you all for a wsonderful evening!
