bluewarriorlady - my boyfriend is in the same division as your husband ! i haven't received any letters from him yet this week :/ i wonder what happened in their division that caused them to lose 4 minutes off the next phone call :(

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well! Looks like I will be seeing my husband on Christmas. Super excited and super nervous for some reason! He hasn't seen my belly yet. :-) I received two letters from him today and he stated that the recruits on ship 12, div 041 lost 4 minutes off of their next phone call (which he said was no time soon) for something that they did (I couldn't read his chicken scratch!)

I hope everyone is doing well. Love you all!

Lynne-Ice storm is horrible!  We work 3rd shift and were getting ready to leave last night-hubby decided to skate and bounce down our concrete steps!  He was not happy at all-we ended up calling in to work and staying home (inside) where it is safe!

Thanks Ladies.   Starting to get in the swing.

I haven't made our reservations for PIR yet. We have lots of relatives in the area, and we aren't sure if more family might come up on Saturday and or Sunday so I am not really sure where we will be YET!  But I have no fear that we will be close.  There are a lot of things to do in Chi-town.

If you haven't ever seen the Blue Man Group or seen anything at Second City Comedy, check those out.  Blue Man is amazing..  SC can be a blast.  Also check out Theaters and see what sort of things are available for the weekend!

Thingamabob-Great news!  Don't know if you are aware or not but If someone responds that their SR is in your daughter's division you can "friend" each other & private e-mail right here on the site. The little box in the right hand corner.  Hit inbox & then compose, all of your friends come up & it is sent to their inbox.

Tamme-I dont't think you guys need to use private e-mails because the inbox on your page is private...but you might know better since you have been throught this before.

Happy for all of you going to see your Sailor's!

Thingamabob, great news!  I know you are so excited.  What division is your SR in?  If you post your outside e-mail address, those division moms can e-mail you outside of here and trade names.

DaramaboysMom, I took my 86-year old mother last time and they let you park right across from PIR.  They let us let her out and then my husband parked.  There is front row seating for them as well in front of each division set of bleachers.

WE GOT OUR CHRISTMAS FORM!!!!! Along with a letter!!! Thank the Lord!
My SR asked what the names of the Moms are that I talk with in her ship/division ...going to have to tell her I don't know because we don't use names. I guess we will be taking another SR that is from H.Texas on Christmas day. Now I just need to google things to do on Christmas Day within 50 miles of the base. Oh I so can't concentrate on my work now lol. I have so much to do....Can I go home now? lol

One more question. My mother will be coming to PIR.  She is 90 and has handicap car tag and  will be either in a wheel chair or wheely walker.  Anyone have any idea how I can get to park close enough for her? If the weather is bad, I want to make sure we can get her out and not have to travel far.  She is a WWII vet and very honored to be able to see the ceremony.  I possess her only 2 grandchildren and because the oldest is following a long (long) family tradition, she needs to be there.
