OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Yes, the more we can talk with them the better, the other day I was talking with an gentlemen that was in the Navy for 20 years, and he also was in FL, he told me to talk with my son and told me to tell him to watch who he hangs around with and some places he should not go once he can go off of base. Just because they are in the Navy does not mean they are always safe. Stephen told my the other day they had an inspection, captains with dogs came in the rooms they were looking for guns and drugs. On the other side of the base they did find drugs, it has to be sailors in phase 2 or 3 because they can get off of base, I thought Stephen would be away from all of that.

It is nice to have Kathy at GL, then she can come home and inform all of us what is going on there.

WOW, that is a long time, but you know once they finish class then we don't know where they go and we wouldn't be able to talk with them anytime we want, I know they want to get done, but for now I am ok with this.

As soon as he gets his clearance, he should be able to start his class right away, so I think around 11 weeks. How about your son, how long is his class?

Yes, that is true, there is really nothing else to do up there, maybe more in the warmer weather.
