FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

im staying the 14th-19th.....thats the longest i could see him..so that part wont work, but thanks for the idea. i was kinda hoping that they might leave sunday morning to get back so his dad can work on Monday...i know im being mean now...but now MY plans have changed cuz they decied last min to come...

i wanted to!!!!!! like i wanted to take HIM out to dinner, i wanted to have all this alone time with him and stuff. but if i told her i did she would have asked about it....idk....this is going to be a L-O-N-G trip....like no joke

oh and when i asked his mom if they where staying the whole time the 14-19 she got a defense and asked if i had something planned with Steven.

i know, but im not getting it his parentsare....which im still annoyed with this whole situation....which his mom sent me a text while i was at work just to ask me if i talked to the hotel yet and i said "no i will when get off" she asked if i was at work and i said "yes" and then she asked me what they said.....i was like i just said i would call when i get off.

Yes, i dont know i have heard sooo many different things from people who have had friends go through boot cap, some say they loved it and others said it sucked bu its worth it in the end

sometimes it feels like my other friends get fed up when i talk to them about Steven being gone....they act like i should be over it or something but when you talk to someone who is going through the same thing or has been through the same thing they understand better and dont seem fed up

same here. i love talking to one my friends cuz her brother is in the Army so she understands what im going through and shes there for me which is realy nice
