Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

No one has heard from Steven since yesterday morning at 5:30 am CA time and he was in Atlanta about ready to leave for FL

Mary ellen, boy those ships are pretty (painting) big. LOL I am so sorry, I wish I could do something to make you feel better. Well I don't know if this helps but I am sure other sailors are in the same boat, and they will stick together and time will go by fast for them, I know that Stephen said he would of never make it through boot camp without his friends, just like I could of never made it though without all of you.

No wonder why the country is in such bad shape, they can't even work out a schedule for our Sailors. LOL Why did they stay here, I could of seen Stephen, just an hour away. The boys are ready now but to wait that long that is hard. You have to keep them in going.

6 to 8 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what will he be doing? I can't believe that, that is CRAZY. When did you hear from him?

No she didnt Mary Ellen. But I dont think they are able to come home on leave...I think they have to stay there...but I could be wrong
